iPhone 15 release | Everything about the new iPhone
Get to know the new iPhone 15 range.
Apple’s newest range of iPhones is out, with people around the world eager to get their hands on the company’s latest offering.
If you’re interested in the latest iteration of the popular phone or just want to know more about them, then let us indulge you on the iPhone 15 range, its new features and price.
iPhone 15 range
The iPhone 15 follows the standard of the other iPhones of late, with four variations that differ in size and features.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are the base ranges. They are almost identical except for their size, with the Plus having 0.6 inches on the regular 15.
Then you have the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. These are the top-of-the-range versions with the best features.
Normally, the Pro and Pro Max will be separated by size, the same as the regular and Plus. But this year, Apple has saved the very best features for the Pro Max.
That’s not to say the 15 Pro isn’t an improvement on the base 15, it’s just that the Pro Max is unrivalled with all the best features.
Each year, there is a fair gap between the base range and the Pro range of the iPhone. But that’s not the case this year, with the gap between the base iPhone 15 range and the iPhone 15 Pro range closer than it has ever been.

From left to right: iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Plus & iPhone 15.
A welcome feature on all iPhone 15s is the Dynamic Island, which debuted on the iPhone 14 Pro last year. It eliminates the dead part around the front camera and replaces it with an interactive and customisable bar for all your notifications.
Now let’s dive deeper into the key features for each phone.
iPhone 15 & 15 Plus
We’ve put the 15 and 15 Plus together because, as we explained, they are largely the same phone with the only difference being size. The iPhone 15 is 6.1 inches while the iPhone 15 Plus is 6.7 inches.
The new iPhone 15 takes all the good of the iPhone 14 Pro and builds upon it. It boasts the A16 Bionic chip, one of the best chipsets on the market and makes the phone very quick and responsive.
The display is once again of very high quality, utilising the OLED True Tone display with Super Retina XDR, Dolby Vision and HDR 10 to supply sharper details and vibrant colours.
A big upgrade has come for the base iPhone 15 camera, with it now featuring a 48-megapixel f/1.6 main rear camera that is capable of offering a 2x telephoto zoom.
Apple hasn’t exactly labelled how big the battery is, but they claim that the 15 has an all-day battery life, with the Plus’ even more so due to having a slightly bigger battery owing to it being slightly bigger.
As for storage, both come with three options; 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.
iPhone 15 Pro
The iPhone 15 Pro features are similar in some aspects to the base phone but also have some big improvements.
Size-wise, it is the same 6.1 inch as the 15. The display is also the exact same, so nothing new to detail there.
The Pro and Pro Max are more lightweight than before. By using a new, lighter titanium frame coupled with the aluminium structure, they have managed to shave 19g off compared to the predecessors for both.
A new chipset has been introduced to the market. The Pro and Pro Max feature the A17 Pro chip, which they say is the industry’s first 3nm processor chip.
This chipset speeds up the GPU by 20% providing peak performance and better efficiency for sustained performance in gaming.
The new rear camera has the telephoto option but this time with a 3x optical zoom.
Finally, there are four storage options for the Pro - 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
iPhone 15 Pro Max
The Pro Max is the creme-de-la-creme of the iPhone 15 - although the only real big difference between the Pro and the Pro Max is the camera.
The Pro Max has the best camera any iPhone has ever had. It features all that the 15 Pro has plus a 12-megapixel 5x telephoto camera with a 120mm focal range, allowing for a new macro mode and providing incredibly close-up photos with remarkable quality.
For this option, there are only three storage options - 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
