How do NOW TV packages work?

You can buy broadband packages from NOW TV that can come with various Membership options, or you can purchase standalone broadband deals, it’s up to you. 

If you wanted to build your own NOW package without broadband, it’s very simple. Head over to NOW and select Join Now in the top bar. From here, you’ll be able to select the Cinema, Entertainment or Sports Membership. Let’s explain what’s included with each one.:

The NOW TV passes

With the Entertainment Membership, you’ll gain access to some of Sky’s best channels, such as Sky Atlantic exclusives like Gangs of London, House of the Dragon, The White Lotus and many more.

With the Cinema Membership, you’ll gain access to all of Sky’s movie range that’s available on Sky Cinema. 

The Sports Membership has three membership options: one-day, flexible monthly and the saver option. The Day Membership is a one-off payment of £14.99, while the Flexible Month Membership is a monthly payment of £34.99 paid each month and can be cancelled whenever. 

As for the saver option, known as the 6-Month Saver Membership, you pay a lower monthly cost of £26 for the first six months, then from month seventh it tranfers to a Flexible Month Membership. The only caveat with the 6-Month Saver Membership is that you are locked into a contract, with the minimum term being six months, so you won't be able to cancel in that time.

All these Membership passes are on a monthly rolling basis and can be cancelled at any time. The flexibility of NOW’s packages is ideal for certain sporting events or series that might only be on for a short period or for viewers who want to watch Sky’s movie releases at Christmas!

Does TNT Sport come with the NOW Sports pass?

TNT Sport on NOW TV only comes with the NOW Sports Extra Membership, which is only available in Ireland. 

With the NOW Sports Extra Membership, people in Ireland can gain access to all Sky Sports channels, TNT Sports 1, 2, 3 and 4, along with Premier Sports 1 and 2. 

What’s on the NOW Entertainment pass?

The NOW Entertainment Membership essentially gives you access to what a basic Sky TV package would (except from Netflix). All Sky’s TV channels, from Sky Atlantic to Sky One, will be made available through the NOW Entertainment Membership. 

How much is the NOW Entertainment & Cinema pass?

You can save on both Entertainment and Cinema memberships by opting for the combined Entertainment & Cinema bundle, known as the 6-Month Saver Bundle, which is currently £13.99 a month. This carries a six month minimum term, meaning you won't be able to cancel within that time. After the six months, the bundle will separate and the memberships will begin auto renewing as Fully Flexible subscriptions.  

The Entertainment and Cinema Membership by themselves both cost the same for the Fully Flexible monthly option and the 6-Month Saver option.

The Fully Flexible Option is currently £9.99 a month, while the 6-Month Saver option is on currently £6.99 a month.

Can I watch live Sky TV with NOW TV?

While NOW TV is predominantly an On-Demand service, you can watch live Sky channels through whichever Membership you pay for. If you pay for both the Entertainment and Cinema Membership, you’ll be able to use the TV guide to watch the live content, too. 

Do I need a NOW TV stick to watch NOW?

You don't need a NOW Smart Stick to watch NOW TV, but it's one of the many smart sticks where NOW is available for download. You'll also be able to download the NOW app on a ROKU Stick and an Amazon Fire Stick. 

Are Sky and NOW TV the same?

NOW TV is a subscription service, where you pay monthly for Sky content without a contract, but it isn't considered a part of Sky. With all the passes on offer, you can pay for a Sports, Entertainment or Cinema pass, which will provide you with the appropriate Sky content. NOW TV is a superb alternative for people who want the best of Sky but with the flexibility of being able to cancel when you want to.
