Weekly trailer roundup 06/03

The biggest, most exciting new movie and TV trailers this week.

We live in a golden age of entertainment, with great new movies and TV shows being released all the time. There’s so much, in fact, that it can be hard to keep track of what’s coming, and what to get excited about.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of the biggest and best trailers released this week. And there’s some good stuff on the horizon, featuring everything from brutal gangsters to space rebels and TikToking ogres.

Movies

Shrek 5

In cinemas Christmas 2026

It may only be 30 seconds long, but it’s hard to recall another teaser in recent times that’s gotten such a strong reaction from the Internet. At least, since that first glimpse of the nightmarish initial design for movie Sonic (those teeth!).

This first, very brief look at the hotly anticipated fifth installment in the long-running franchise shows off an exciting new cast member (Zendaya!), magical TikTok memes and, most controversially, modern redesigns for its core characters.

How dare they narrow Shrek’s jawline?

Havoc

On Netflix 25th April

A high-octane thriller from Gareth Evans - the mind behind recent action masterpieces like The Raid and Gangs of London - this stars Tom Hardy as a grizzled detective forced to fight his way through the criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son.

The fight scenes in this brief teaser are suitably bone-crunching, and any new project from Evans is worth a watch. Also stars Timothy Olyphant (Justified) and Forest Whitaker (Rogue One).

The Woman in the Yard

In cinemas 28th March

Horror hit-factory Blumhouse (The ConjuringThe NunThe Invisible Man, etc.) has turned out a brand new movie monster in The Woman in the Yard, which follows a grieving family who are visited by an unsettling veiled presence. A woman who can apparently take control of shadows.

This looks like a nicely spooky affair, made all the more impressive by the fact that it takes place exclusively in bright sunshine. Pretty rare for a horror film.

TV Shows

Andor

Season 2 on Disney+ from 22nd April

The first season of Disney’s Andor was, hands-down, the best Star Wars thing in years. Centering on Diego Luna’s titular spy, the show managed to tell a grounded, morally complex story about the plight of everyday people under the rule of the nefarious Empire, and the rise of the Rebel Alliance.

It was true prestige drama, and the second season promises more of the same. Also stars Stellan Skarsgård (Thor), Adria Arjona (Hit Man) and Ben Mendelsohn (Rogue One).

The Bondsman

Season 1 on Prime Video from 3rd April

Kevin Bacon stars in this darkly funny supernatural thriller series, following a bail bondsman who is returned from hell and tasked with hunting down renegade demons on behalf of the devil.

With an excellently grizzled, world-weary performance from Bacon, some gruesome effects and a wry sense of humour, this looks like a lot of fun.

MobLand

Season 1 on Paramount+ from 30th March

Guy Ritchie (SnatchThe Gentlemen) returns once again to the world of British crime in this brand new drama series. Tom Hardy stars as Harry Da Souza, a fixer caught up in a war between two rival crime families.

This one has an absolutely stacked cast, including the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Paddy Considine.
